Shakin Street Vampire Rock / Solid As A Rock / Live Album
A French - American band founded in Paris in 1975 by female vocalist Fabienne Shine and DICTATORS guitarist Ross 'The Boss' Funicello (replacing Armik Tigrane) joined in time for the, self-titled second album, ousting Armik Tigrane, and it would be this album that would achieve cult status for the group. SHAKIN' STREET was produced by Sandy Pearlman, manager of BLUE OYSTER CULT and BLACK SABBATH.
The band's second album benefited greatly in sales from a support slot to BLACK SABBATH as well as guest appearances from JIMMY PAGE and BLUE OYSTER CULT guitarist BUCK DHARMA.
Ross The Boss later found attention in the Metal world with the over the top MANOWAR, having met the group's leading light Joey De Maio whilst the bassist was employed on BLACK SABBATH's road crew.
He was replaced in SHAKIN' STREET by Andrew 'Duck' McDonald but the band floundered soon after. McDonald joined the mid 80's touring line up of 60's veterans BLUE CHEER. The guitarist then founded BIBLE BLACK the teamed up with SAVOY BROWN guitarist Kim Simmonds in his 1985 Rock act SIMMONDS.
