No More Babylon - Roots Meeting
New album NO MORE BABYLON – ROOTS MEETING NO MORE BABYLON, a ROOTS REGGAE DUB band settled in France was formed in 1994 by six young students devoted to reggae music. After training a while with classical roots riddims, the band quickly started to write their own tunes.
Their debut album "Stand The Pressure" was followed a few years later by "VAMPAYAH " , a show case album in respect of Jamaican reggae tradition ( Vocal and Dub version for each tune ).

As a live act, they performed all over France, opening for great artists such as Jimmy Cliff , U Roy, Ijahman, Yellowman, Ras Michaël, Alpha Blondy, Misty In Roots, Toots & The Maytals, Mystic Revelation Of Rastafari, ... Since 2004 they are regularly invited to play on international festival stages.
NO MORE BABYLON equally play as backing band with Jamaican singer EARL 16. During a European tour, they recorded Earl 16´s first live album : ‘Mash Up the Dance’. The band is also KEN BOOTHE´s band for Europe : they play on the veteran singer live album called ‘Live in Paris’ and have done two European tours with him, in 2005 and 2006.
New tunes have been released with UK dub label Tanty records (Roots of dub Funk #4) and Dutch label DEE 2 Records
NO MORE BABYLON are also collaborating with JOSIE MEL (Jamaica), Brother MARCUS from Irie Connection (NL), and KENNY KNOTTS (UK). ‘Roots Meeting", the latest release of the band will be released early February. It features international artists such as Ken Boothe, Earl 16, Josie Mel, Kenny Knots, Brother Marcus, U Brown, Jah Marnyah and Maryse Chastan.
