Introduction To Living Country Blues Usa
The German blues experts Siegfried Christmann en Axel Kustner travelled to the south of the USA to make their so called field recordings in the natural surroundings of the artists and not in the studio.
Travelling 10.000´s miles by car using 54 km of tape, taking hundreds of photographs to document the various aspects of the country blues. They have recorded the works of 35 well known and unknown blues artists which are now on release in a series of 12 CD´s.
On this introduction CD we will find artists such as: Guitar Frank, Memphis Piano Red, Flora Molton and the Truth Band, Lottie Murrell, Sam Chatmon, Hammie Nixon and many others. An absolute ‘must have’ for all traditional blues fans.
