Cubanismo - Greetings From Havana
Greetings from Havana is the follow up album to the internationally acclaimed cross-over album ‘Mardi Grass Mambo’. Six years ago Cubanismo entered with this album in the Billboard Top World Music Albums. Due to constant worldtouring Greetings from Havana is the first album of new material from Cubanismo.
This album exhibits all the fire and swing that defines traditional Cuban dance rhythms. Recorded at Abdalla studios in Havana, Cuba´s finest studio, resulting in big band sound with absolutely red hot solos. The Numero Uno Latin Jazz Band of Cuba consisting of a 15 piece big band containing the finest musicians Cuba has to offer.
Cubanismo plays traditional Cuban rhythms like Salsa, Cucaracha, Rumba, Mambo, Bolero, Son/Afro, Descarga etc.
